Operations Manager, Laos

Manixia has been at MAG since 2007, joining straight from school. Step by step she has progressed her career, eventually becoming an operations manager in 2016. Manixia wants to use her success to inspire other women to become leaders in their field.

“It is a difficult job, and not everyone can do it,” she says. “But we have shown that men and women can do it equally as well.”

Salaam has been with MAG for 26 years. Today he manages nine weapons destruction teams, two mine detection dog teams, two mechanical teams and three community liaison teams.

Community Liaison Manager

Evaristo took on the position with MAG in 2003 due to his own experience of being uprooted by the conflict and seeking refuge abroad. The conflict also claimed his father, brother and sister. On returning, he was determined to help others who had been through similar experiences.
