Emergency Response in Republic of Congo
- In March of this year, a large munitions depot in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of Congo, exploded on a Sunday morning, killing 200 people and leaving at least 5,000 homeless. Within one day, MAG’s in-country experts were delivering Risk Education and three emergency hotlines were established to report items of UXO. Read more about MAG's emergency response in Congo here.

Expansion in Vietnam
- As a result of the generosity of individual donations, MAG became the first international mine action organization to conduct mine clearance activities in Quang Nam province. Read more about MAG's new work in Quang Nam here.

MAG in Cambodia 20th Anniversary
- MAG’s program in Cambodia began as an emergency response to clear landmines for refugees moving back over the border from Thailand. Since 1992, MAG has helped 370,000 refugees return home, delivered partnerships in the country and hired the first team of female deminers in 1995. Read more about our two decades in Cambodia here.
